Whoooa, you're 14 (XIV) years old today sweetie, jeeez, you're getting all grown up!! Well, I don't really seem to have much of a topic developed or in mind for today as I've been hard at work on trying to complete the last post, Random (dad)Thoughts #5. I hope you like that, I really had to try a bit extra on that one. It was important to me to be forthcoming, informative, and helpful, while hopefully at the same time still making positive that I look out for your privacy and don't accidentally embarass you any more than I have to. Gee, it's already bad enough that you have to have your Father talking about such personal stuff on the World Wide Web.

I'm sorry it has to be this way sweetie, I'd really hoped that we could have these kind of talks in person so you would feel more secure about everything. I guess at least I got to offer you something in the form of guidance and information. I always feel so unsatisfied with what I'm allowed to do though. It really shouldn't be this way, I should be able, actually, encouraged to speak with you openly about personal issues and things that may cause you feelings of concern or uncertainty.

You should feel able to come to me at any time and ask me for guidance with anything, or just for a nonjudgemental ear to listen to your problems. I'm beyond deeply sorry that this is not presently the case my love. This continually pains me, more than you'll ever truly know. Ya know, it's really unbelievable that no one has ever even asked me how I feel about things or what I want in this situation. I Love You Very Much Sweetheart and I really hope you have the best birthday you could ever hope for. Ya know, now that your getting all grown up and stuff, I guess that means you'll be increasingly more and more reliable in being a positive productive citizen, and in taking responsibility for the things your charged with handling in your life, right? Don't worry, I'm just giving you a bit of a hard time. You'll be alright if you just stay busy and stay honest. Just do your best babe, and I'm sure you'll learn how to deal with things in the appropriate way. Remember darling, I'm always just an email away if you ever have any qustions to ask or just need somebody with more than half a lick of sense that you can talk to, I can be a real good listener too.

Please remember to treat all people with dignity and with the courtesy and respect with which you would prefer to be treated. Thankyou Sky, this practice will come back to you in many positive ways, mostly just by knowing and feeling in your heart that you are taking the right positive approach towards life and other people. I would also, as usual, urge you strongly to make sure that you are conscious of the choices that you make in your life. Always try and do , in whatever situation you're into, what you know would truly be the the best and most positive thing to do(read: least potential for causing undo detriment or harm to yourself or others), in whatever the given moment or situation. I Love You So Much Skylar, I wish I was where ever you are right now and that I could see in your eyes the excitement of having your fourteenth birthday. I wish I could see your beautiful face and hug you really really tight, although I'm afraid I may not be able to ever let go.
